Tsavo East:The Tsavo East National Park, is part the largest conservation area in Kenya and hosts significant populations of the large mammals such as the Big FIVE among other animals like the giraffe and zebras. The park has untrammeled wilderness atmosphere that appeals the tourists. This eastern side focal point for game drives is the Aruba Dam (the only permanent source of water), where Lions are often seen resting. Towards the Galana River is a good place to spot the Gerenuk, Somali ostrich, vulturine guineafowl among others.
Tsavo West: The Tsavo West National Park is part of the largest conservation area (The Tsavo) in Kenya and boasts of its diverse landscape (riverine vegetation, vast glasslands), natural springs, volcanic craters that are extinct and rolling plains. Attractions include the Mzima Springs that is a home to the hippos and crocodiles, the plains are home to the large herds of elephants, leopard, lions, cheetahs among other mammals.
