1. Introduction
These Terms of Service govern all safari bookings, travel arrangements, and related services provided by Savi Tours and Travel. By confirming a booking, the client agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2. Booking and Payment
A booking is considered confirmed upon receipt of a deposit or full payment as advised.
- Deposits are typically non-refundable unless stated otherwise.
- Full payment must be made before the safari start date, within the timeline provided at booking.
- Payments can be made via bank transfer, mobile money, or other approved channels.
3. Pricing
- All prices are quoted in Kenya Shillings (KES) or USD unless otherwise stated.
- Prices are subject to change due to factors beyond our control, including park fee adjustments, fuel cost changes, or currency fluctuations.
- Any price changes will be communicated before confirmation of booking.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellations must be made in writing.
- Cancellation charges apply as follows (unless otherwise specified in your package):
- 30+ days before travel: Partial refund (excluding deposit)
- 15–29 days: 50% refund
- Less than 15 days: No refund
- Refund timelines depend on third-party providers (hotels, airlines, etc.).
5. Amendments and Changes
- Changes to bookings are subject to availability and may incur additional costs.
- Savi Tours and Travel reserves the right to make minor changes to itineraries due to weather, safety, or operational considerations while maintaining the overall experience.
6. Travel Documents and Requirements
- Clients are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports, visas, vaccination certificates, and any other required travel documents.
- Savi Tours and Travel can provide guidance but is not liable for denied entry or travel disruptions due to incomplete documentation.
7. Health and Safety
- Clients must disclose any medical conditions that may affect participation in the safari.
- Participation in safari activities is at the client’s own risk.
- Clients are expected to follow guide instructions at all times, especially during game drives and wildlife encounters.
8. Liability
- Savi Tours and Travel acts as an intermediary between clients and service providers (lodges, airlines, transport providers).
- We are not liable for loss, injury, delay, or damage caused by third-party providers or circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Weather conditions
- Wildlife behavior
- Road conditions
- Government actions
9. Travel Insurance
- Comprehensive travel insurance is highly recommended and should cover:
- Trip cancellations
- Medical emergencies
- Personal belongings
- Emergency evacuation
10. Accommodation and Services
- Accommodation is subject to availability at the time of booking.
- In case of unavailability, a similar standard alternative will be provided.
- Meal plans and inclusions will be clearly outlined in the itinerary.
11. Transportation
- Transport may be provided via safari vans, 4×4 vehicles, trains, or flights depending on the package.
- While every effort is made to ensure punctuality, delays may occur due to factors beyond our control.
12. Conduct and Responsibility
- Clients are expected to behave responsibly and respectfully towards guides, staff, fellow travelers, and local communities.
- Savi Tours and Travel reserves the right to terminate services without refund if a client’s behavior endangers others or disrupts the experience.
13. Force Majeure
- Savi Tours and Travel shall not be held responsible for failure to perform obligations due to unforeseen circumstances including natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, or other events beyond reasonable control.
14. Complaints
- Any issues should be reported immediately to the tour guide or company representative during the trip to allow for resolution.
- Formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 7 days after the safari.
15. Privacy
- Client information is collected solely for booking and operational purposes and will not be shared with third parties except where necessary to fulfill services.
16. Governing Law
- These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved within Kenyan jurisdiction.
17. Acceptance of Terms
By confirming a booking with Savi Tours and Travel, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
